Gary's Got a Boner

... is the song that should be played tomorrow by Paul Westerberg and Tommy Stinson at the Open Season premiere tomorrow. Instead it'll be something from the movie, which will be, you know, appropriate and all.

I downloaded Love You in Fall from iTunes and I think Tommy is singing backing vocals. There are few songs on the Open Season: Songs of Paul Westerberg soundrack that just sound very Replacements.

But this is the first time the two will have played publicly together in... 15 years? And, as Paul points out, all the elements are right: "We get back together to open up for a cartoon, in front of a bunch of people who never heard of us," Mr. Westerberg says. "That's fitting."
